Here are a few of our favourite combinations for the summer season:

Jam

Try two of summer’s best berries in your next salad dressing mix. Raspberry or strawberry jam bring a burst of flavour to a dressing mixed as follows:

  • 3 parts olive oil, 2 parts red wine vinegar, 1 part raspberry or strawberry jam and pinch of salt and pepper

This dressing is beautiful on green salad with fruit, goat cheese and nuts.

Mustard

Adding mustard to a simple dressing gives you a classic vinaigrette which can be used on most mixed green salads. Try a combination of the following:

  • 3 parts olive oil, 2 parts balsamic vinegar / apple cider vinegar or / lemon juice, 1 part dijon mustard and a pinch of salt and pepper

Try a grainy mustard or tarragon mustard if you want to play around a bit more with flavours.

Vinagers

You’ll find a wide variety of vinegars to choose from in the shop to make your next dressing. Champagne vinegar is a lovely one to choose for any fresh summer salad you’re making. Try a combination of:

  • 3 parts olive oil, 2 parts champagne vinegar, 1 part dijon mustard, 1 tsp honey and salt and pepper to taste

Want to get extra creative?! Use some pickle brine right from the pickle jar! Try this combination of:
